“How Did You Find That?” – Finding Information In Unexpected Places
speaker: Alana Masters

After our meeting, one of our members was kind enough to inform us that obituaries published in The Florida Times-Union can now be found online at https://www.legacy.com/obituaries/timesunion/

Additionally, you can find the handouts on how to access the card catalogs on FamilySearch and Ancestry.com below

additional sources for information:
archive.org – Internet Archive: a non-profit library of digital books, microfilms, etc that are out of copyright and available for download. Some of the microfilms available are the census records and civil war records, just be aware that they are not searchable by an individual.
books.google.com – Google Books: has some digitized books that are out of copyright and available for download. Some books that have copyright restrictions are still searchable.
